Queensbay Mall held a pre-Lunar New Year celebration with a myriad of activities at its ground floor central atrium, recently.
The shopping mall, to usher in the Year of the Horse, has transformed its central atrium into a Chinese village, transporting shoppers back to the vibrancy of traditional village life.

A series of exciting festive events which took place, including a drum performance, spinning bowl performance and acrobatic lion dance, celebrated the culture and traditions.
The sound of the drums signalled the start of the event.

This was followed by the display of the long series of steps of lively character by the acrobatic lion performers which left the crowd spellbound.

Queensbay Mall finance manager Carol Ang and state Tourism Development and Culture committee chairman Danny Law Heng Kiang, with invited guests, performed the auspicious loh hei which involved the tossing of the colourful yu sheng dish of raw fish and shredded raw vegetables.

Guests were also treated to the Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot at Dragon-i
The event at the mall concluded with the distribution of mandarin oranges by the God of Prosperity to signify luck and good fortune.

Also present were the mall's assistant finance manager Khor Bee Peng, human resource manager Ong Hooi Nee, leasing manager Lee Sue Ling and marketing communications manager, Christopher Koh.
