We took a drive from Taiping to the small town of Kuala Sepetang (Port Weld) recently to try out the seafood. Our lunch was at Restaurant Tepi Sungai which perched out to the river. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the building while the ground floor is the docking area for the fishing boats.

This place is indeed a heaven for photographers and bird watchers.
One can have a good view of the river, jetties, fishing villages and the fishing boats. The river is busy with activities with the boats plying up and down.
Directions -
From the North South Highway, exit at Taiping Kamunting outlet. After paying the toll, drive on and upon seeing the first traffic light; turn right into the trunk road. Continue on till you reach the Simpang Empat traffic light. Turn right and drive till you reach the town of Kuala Sepatang.
