Penang being an exciting tourist destination has many key attractions and trishaw ride is one of them. The trishaw which is also known as beca in Penang was the mode of transport in the old days and still is now.
Some of the trishaws have recently been given a ‘make over’ with new yellow color and brightly white shades under the joint venture of the Penang state government and DIGI Telecommunications Sdn Bhd. The remaining trishaws would be done up by the end of this year.
The Penang state government has plans to standardize the fares for the trishaw rides which currently comes with charges of RM30 per hour.
It is fun plying and exploring George Town in the trishaw. I recommend every visitor to take up the ride but do check out the prices before you board the trishaw.

The white top shade beca will give the tourists a cooler shades as the white reflect sunlight better than any othe colours .But it will be easier to get stain as time goes by !
ReplyDeleteBakeling - The bright colors does attract attention. Hopefully they are well maintained.
